Concerned About Your Child’s Performance?
Emotional challenges, learning disabilities, and social struggles can drain a child’s motivation to learn. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, Depression, Family Issues, and Peer Conflicts can adversely impact self-esteem, overall school performance, and hinder healthy development.
ADHD includes poor concentration, impulsivity, disorganization and often hyperactivity. ADHD is the most widely diagnosed childhood disorder. Correctly diagnosing ADHD means conducting a thorough assessment to rule out other potential symptoms and problems.
Learning Disabilities (LD) occur even in children with high intelligence. When a LD exists along with ADHD or other mental health disorders, children have greater difficulty in the classroom. The key is to collaborate with school personnel and families to base treatment interventions and accommodations on personal strengths.
